Provenance: Pierre Laparra collection, according to an inscription on the reverse.

William Laparra (1873-1920) is an artist from Bordeaux, whose masters will be Bouguereau, Tony Robert-Fleury and Jules Lefèvre. Distinguished with the Prix de Rome in 1895, he traveled to Italy, then to Spain.
Our landscape mistakenly located in Bologna on a label on the reverse, shows the Tuscan town of San Gimignano and its characteristic towers.
